The programme, which ran for one series of 39 half-hour monochrome episodes, followed the adventures of Interpol policemen Duval and Mornay as they fought against international drug-running, homicide, robbery and forgery.

All 39 episodes of this excellent ITC series from 1959/60, the sound and picture quality are both fine in my book and the stories are thoroughly entertaining. Then for starters, two hundred thousand francs is demanded from a Burgundy vineyard owner, Georges Debre (Robert Cawdron). The programme followed the adventures of Interpol policemen Duval and Mornay as they fought international drug-running, homicide, robbery and forgery. Now I’m not saying that all of this book has been plagiarised from my contributions to IMDB (I did summaries for every episode, and full synopses for eight or nine) but going through I find sentence after sentence I recognise.

This crime drama series, based on the case files of the International Criminal Police Organisation, starred Charles Korvin as Inspector Paul Duval and partner Edwin Richfield as Inspector Mornay as they dealt with serious crime across Europe. To cover his tracks he blows up the mine shaft, killing 30 employees, and jumps from the ambulance taking him to hospital. These are usually intended to convince you to send money to the scammers, who use our Organization’s name because it sounds serious and legitimate. Duval is certain this is the work of Morrell and soon puts two and two together, working out the phoney Professor Velard doesn't know as much about archaeology as him.

Duval is treated for bruising in hospital, where it just happens that years ago Leroy's arm had been amputated after his arm had become infected. Three hundred thousand guilders for the Dutch Resistance was being carried by this officer when he was shot by the Nazis. His partner, Schroeder, is released from prison in Austria but is bitter at his treatment, and reminds Duval he cannot be tried again for the same crime. Now half a million dollars worth of the stuff had been nicked from Cannes recently, and Duval works out it must have come via the canal network to Saint Andre. Girl friend and wife's meeting ends in argument, and an arrest, but actually it has a very good final twist that I hadn't guessed.while it tends to fit a standard formula, I never tired of it and with so many episodes in the box set it maintained my interest throughout.

Duval is stranded in Saint Andre, near Amiens, you know it's in France by the persistent accordeon music that slightly irritatingly drones throughout the tale. Immediately after robbing a bank in Israel, David Baker and his girlfriend Diane fly to Spain, from where they know they cannot be extradited. After her father has reported her kidnapped, Louisa Howard is tracked to a hotel in Switzerland: not kidnapped, but with her fiancé, Ronald Millais. In Rome Duval tracks Miss Emily Prentiss, only to once more wind up with egg on his face when he falls for "the oldest trick in the world. Inspector Duval is soon on to "evil genius" Karl Haussmann (Donald Pleasence, a typical role, though he is given little chance to shine). Once there, Bekker is stopped by Duval, who has the diamonds compared to the stones from the Murico Diamond Company. Although everything points to car owner, American, Ben Stack as the murderer Duval is not convinced and he discovers the girl was a nightclub hostess and the owner was deported from America on vice charges. The old maxim that You Can't be Tried Twice for the Same Crime determines him "to stop at nothing to take his revenge.

Braun's girl friend Inger (an uncredited actress) knows Braun is wanted for his current criminal activities and thus won't reveal his whereabouts. When Duval looks at Millais' past, the death of his first wife in a car crash starts to look more sinister when he finds his second wife walked out on him - after nearly being killed in a car accident. But then news from the police that Talbot was an informer, working with them to expose a smuggling racket. As an example, consider the first episode (and first on the Network DVD release), ‘The Angola Brights’.
